Job Description

Reporting to the manager of the mechanical department, Infodev EDI is currently looking for a CNC machinist (evening) and a machinist assistant (day) to join the Quebec office. The main mandate of the selected candidates will be to manufacture and assemble parts.

Responsabilities

  • Operate machine tools (hydraulic bending machine, numerically controlled machine, numerically controlled punching machine and grinding machine).
  • Prepare the various manual programming according to the machine.
  • Build functional prototypes.
  • Control the quality of the manufactured parts. Tolerance check.
  • Provide ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Occasionally assist production by performing the mechanical and electronic assembly of different products.
  • Comfortable with EZCAM.

Requirements

  • Hold a DEP in machining technique and / or DEC in mechanical engineering technique.
  • Have experience on CNC machines.
  • Know how to work with the two measurement systems; imperial and metric.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Meet the company's security and operational standards.
  • Experience in manufacturing or electronic systems (an asset).
